BACK TO THE FUTURE
A teenage boy rides a skateboard through the streets, hopping into a crowded convertible, running through it and is able to land back on the skateboard as it rolled under the moving vehicle. This results in a car accident.
THE GOONIES
A young boy stuffs his mouth full of rare jewels, almost choking on them.
While driving his car, a teenager holds onto the arm of another teenager, against his will, who is riding his bike. As the car speeds, so does the young man on the bike and when released, is thrust off a cliff.
INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM
A young boy, obviously not old enough or big enough to drive a car, is in fact operating an automobile with the help of wooden blocks fastened to his shoes so he can reach the peddles.
INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE
A young teenage boy runs atop a speeding train.
STAND BY ME
A small group of young boys foolishly cross a lengthy bridge, walking on the railroad tracks. Their very lives are in danger as the train catches up to them. One of them must jump off the bridge, falling to the ground to escape the speeding locamotive.
HOME ALONE
A young boy boobie traps his own home with hazardous household items in attempt to foil two dangerous, adult serial burglars.
NATIONAL LAMPOONS VACATION
After swimming naked in a pool with another woman, a fed-up husband and father of two holds security guards at gunpoint with a pellet gun, ordering them to allow his family to enjoy the thrilling amusement rides at a closed amusement park. The park is closed for repairs. This "family man" is putting everyone's lives in danger, including those of his two young, innocent children.

GreatWarEagle, those are great examples, but to me, each one of those scenes you describe depicts a dangerous event. We know it's a dangerous event as we watch it.
The Fast and Furious scene just feels different from the scenes you described.

Automatically censoring any discussion of what could be censored makes you a bigger dimwit than those you scorn.

Ah, the great censorship debate (AGAIN!)It will never be resolved, only imposed. But I'll add my opinion:
It's human nature to copy the behaviour of others.
In children the act of copying and re-enacting behaviour is much greater. That's why I agree with certification as a guidance.
People will always copy what they see, even copying (in my opinion) a rubbish film by racing on the streets. That's why I don't agree with censorship cutting, it's pointless. Who should decide what films are acceptable for any other adult to see?
The whole 80's 'video-nasty' debacle is a good example that the whole censorship argument is a joke, films are an easy scapegoat. Mary Whitehouse and her followers can kiss my uncensored *** ! ( <<< oh, the irony!)
Good example above, has that censored 'swear-word' prevented anyone here from ever daring to say it?
Don't worry about it Alex, fools will be fools with or without movies.

Hi,
I don't know how big of a show it is in the U.K., but here in north America the show 'Jack-*** ' has been the most famous for the kids hurting themselves in the manner depicted on screen recently. The show follows a bunch of daredevil like guys who go around and find different things to jump off of, drive off of, or just plain hurt themselves to see what happens. My opinion of that show is that it is **** , like the lowest common denominator dark side of filmmaking. But with that said I know, and have seen people who try to do things they've seen on the show. Why? Because they are stupid. Sometimes alcohol is involved, sometimes it is a bet, sometimes it is for fun, but all of the times it is their decision. If the show wasn't on the air, they would be less inclined to hurt themselves in that manner, but would do it in another. Plain and simple. Movies, T.V., etc don't create self-harming people, they just give them some specific ideas on what to duplicate. However, even if they hadn't seen the show, they would still do something equally detrimental and unintelligent.

Once again, I'm in complete agreement with you.
But what if ******* showed stunts like disabling someones brake line in their car, or putting a hole in a condom then giving them out for free at some street corner, or changing medical lables on prescription drugs......etc...

We are all in agreement on that. But no one believes they are the idiot.
What if someone made a movie about "*******es" gone wild. Instead of performing their own stunts on themselves, the *******es create situations that will harm those around themselves, the casual unobservant fool and videotape it?
Would that not be something that would be censored, and should be censored?
